The Climb
Climbing Mount Kenya’s twin summits, Nelion and Batian, is a true technical mountaineering challenge and one of the most rewarding experiences on the mountain. Batian, the highest point, and Nelion, just slightly lower, are connected by the famous Gates of the Mist, often shrouded in cloud. Reaching either summit offers climbers striking views over the dramatic ridges, glaciers, and valleys that define Mount Kenya—an achievement reserved for those prepared for a serious alpine adventure.
